The word "Cobblespot" was developed through a series of brainstorming sessions with the goal of creating a brand name that was both mysterious and unknown. Using a fabricated word allows for a freedom of character and voice that further enhances the intrigue and unique qualities of the artist generated content that Cobblespot would support and offer for sale.

The Cobblespot logo is based on a particular mathematical structure used to form patterns in Islamic art, building upon the concept of the importance of art and intellectual stimulation in trade and commerce. The imagery of birds furthers the idea of the importance of migration and travel to commerce, as well as the community and social interaction that would be replicated in the support of individual artists and their creations.

The heavy use of green is a specific reflection of that colors importance to Islamic decoration and architecture, as well as nature and the environment. What would normally be a rich forest green has been spruced up into a unnatural 'electric' green, reflecting the importance of digital imaging and print in the majority of Cobblespot's offerings. Gold ink would be utilized for it's inherent decorous and ornamental qualities.
